Goodbye [Levi x Reader]

    You stared up into the sky waiting for someone, waiting for someone to come and find you. You didn't want to be lost forever. You just wanted to be found before it was to late. Was this selfish of you, not wanting to suffer the same pain so many others and suffered before you? Probably. Did you care? Not really. You just wanted to be to see his face one last time and say your goodbyes.
   Captain Levi had never really paid much attention to you but you couldn't help but develop feelings for the short man. Your friends teased you about your little crush but you didn't care  You loved him even though you knew he would never return the feelings. It hurt honestly but you couldn't but feel this way. It was a one sided love. You admired him so much, the way he did everything in his power to keep everyone safe, the way he would go head on into danger if it meant saving one single unimportant life. Too bad he wasn't here to save you.
    The events of the last minutes played over and in your head. The way you had foolishly moved ahead of your squad trying to show off to your fellow cadets hoping that maybe, just maybe the captain might catch a glimpse of you killing a titan single handily and want you on his squad (of course those were only silly dreams that would never become reality.) You were gliding through the air when a small giant eyes titan leaped in the air and bit off a part of your leg as another took ahold of your cords and threw you against a roof. You laughed at yourself slightly causing you to cough up a small amount of blood. If only you hadn't been so cocky maybe you would be alive and well right now and not on the verge of death.
   You heard a faint shout in the distance and the sound of the hooks of someones 3DMG being shot next to where your body lay. You could hear foot steps rushing towards you and a familiar tiny man came into your line of vision. You smiled towards him thinking he would be the thing you would most likely see.
    "Cadet (L/N)!" You heard the frantic Corporal shout at you.
    "Y-yes?" You managed to choke out before another wave of blood rose out of your mouth. Levi simply ran towards and inspected your body. His normally stoic steely gray eyes were now filled with worry and concern. Your smile widened at the idea that he cared about in some way shape or form.
   "C-captain Levi?" You wheezed out.
   "Yes Cadet (L/N)?" Levi replied hastily trying to stop the blood that was seeping out of your leg. The pain you felt was now a numb part of the background.
    "You probably don't care but... before I die here. I just wanted you to know that," more blood spilled from your mouth causing you to violently cough before regaining composure. "I... l-l-ove y-you.." You managed to gasp out before a final wave of blood spurt out of your mouth successfully filling your lungs.
   Gasping for air your vision starts to fade. You could here the Captains desperate cries for you stay with him and keep your eyes open, but you didn't want to hurt anymore. The numbing pain was finally receding and with the last of your strength you look and at the Corporal that you held so dear and smiled finally letting go.
